Competition
The Sharpener Competition is organised for the development of excellence in creativity among the young and ambitious people who are keen to take up advertising as a career. The competitors between the age of 18 and 30 years will be asked to submit a 360 Degree campaign plan for any product or service. A panel of judges will scrutinise the submissions for adjudging the winners. The winners will be sent to the Asia-Pacific AdFest 2011 to participate in the Young Lotus Competition. This talent hunt competition would be a sponsored event.
Sharpener
AdClub organised Sharpener 2007, an advertising creative competition among the young creative geniuses of the advertising agencies of Dhaka on 9 & 10 February 2007. This was the first of its kind competition in the history of Bangladesh advertising. The competition was also held in 2008. Sharpener 2011 will be held on 10 February 2011.

The details:
Participants should be below the age of 30 years (born in 1980 or after)
Participants are to come from local advertising agencies
The participants should have experience in working at the copy/concept and art department of their respective agencies
The competition will be among teams
Each team will have two members, preferably 1 art director and 1 copywriter
There will be option for developing teams based on agency mix
University students can also participate if they qualify through an initial interview at the PURPLE Events office.
Students may win internship opportunity at leading local advertising agencies.
Registration fee will be TK 2000 per team.
